About Cielo →How We Think About Racing
Spectacular Courses
Old-growth forest, alpine lakes, century-old tunnels, granite ridgelines. Every route is designed around the landscape. Challenging, original, unforgettable.
Small by Design
Capped fields. Volunteers who know your name. No mass starts, no cattle chutes. Small enough that the experience stays personal and the trails stay clean.
Access by Design
Generous time limits. No public results. Funding for underrepresented communities. The only requirement for being here is wanting to be here.
We build races around places that change how you think about the mountains.

We started Tierra Libre Run to fund access for runners of color. That work taught us the gap isn't just at the start line. It's in who designs the experiences themselves.
So we built Cielo to do both: create world-class trail races and bring a new perspective to how they're designed.
Our First Race
Hyak Passage 25K
October 2026. 150 runners. A point-to-point 25K through the Central Cascades. Old-growth forest, alpine ridgeline, and a finish you have to earn.
